“L’émotion Primaire” is a series of expressionist paintings that seek to capture, in a raw and instinctive way, the imprint of the deepest feelings: disappointment, anger, confusion… These emotions, often experienced intensely yet difficult to express in words, are here evoked through material, color, and gesture.
Black is used as a fertile screen, a dense night from which bursts of emotion emerge. This radical contrast allows the strength of the primary colors—red, blue, yellow—to erupt, which I use in harmony and opposition, like visual cries.
Each canvas is conceived as an emotional freeze-frame, a snapshot of a precise inner state, yet treated with vivid, open, sometimes violent gestures, to remind us that nothing is ever completely fixed within the emotional realm.
